Rakhdi : Thread Of Strength

The video suggests that because Guru Sahib taught Sikhs to respect other's religious views or more accurately their right to believe what they want that can be extrapolated to actually adopting their practices. That logic or suggestion is flawed. By that logic, Guru Nanak Sahib would have cared for the feelings of his teachers and parents and accepted to wear the Janeyu. He did not. And so when you say in your comments "Guru Nanak Dev ji, never rejects any Hindu rituals but reforms it." - that has to be disagreed with. He rejected the practice of wearing the Janeyu and refused to wear it.

If someone wants to celebrate Rakhdi that is a 'personal' decision. Let's not pretend that Sikhs SHOULD celebrate Rakkdi and suggest that it is Ok or in accordance with Sikh traditions.
